We giggled the whole summer through,
because you get me, like I get you.
We got into so many scrapes, it was sheer fun.
You had my back each time I had to run.
We shared our adventures and secrets alike.
The tears, the laughter, everything was all right.
We had a secret code that no-one knew,
the outside world would never have a clue.
Even though we don’t see each other year-to-year alike,
being together was as if, we never got off that bike.
Sometimes we fell out, and you hated my guts,
but then we made up, and restored the trust.
I guess this is why we became so close,
and how our friendship others came to diagnose.
